The Deepest Cut (MacKinnon Curse #1) - J.A. Templeton This review also posted at A Bookish Compulsion

I liked this book, I found it an engaging read and while not a reinvention of the genre a well thought-out and fun ghost story that blended in the elements of a teenage geared book without delving into the inane that I have often found in book directed to that age group. I found the characters relatable and enjoyed reading about them enough to plan on reading the sequels. The plot was well arched, if the ending I felt was a bit forced to add drama for a future installment. I am eager to see where Ms. Templeton is taking this tale and will willing go along for the ride.

I give this book four stars.
